User Style Disks #4 and #5 are designed to be used with Band-in-a-Box, but they were inspired by the Korg i series keyboards. 
I repeat, for clarity: These disks are to be used with Band-in-a-Box and the sound module(s) you are now using. They will make your Band-in-a-Box emulate a Korg i3 (but with much more variety and musicality). YOU DO NOT NEED A KORG SYNTH TO USE THESE DISKS -- YOU ONLY NEED BAND IN A BOX AND THE SOUND CARD/MODULE SET-UP YOU ALREADY HAVE
For years, the owners of my User Style Disks (#1, #2, & #3) have repeatedly asked me to do two different things:
I have combined both of the above ideas in these new disks. Each disk contains both:
I have grouped the Band-in-a-Box styles and MIDIfiles into sets. Each set contains: Three styles that are similar enough to be used with the included intro/ending MIDIfiles. This gives you the ability to play similarly styled songs and utilize those great intros and endings, without repeating the exact same background licks in each song.
Since each i3 rhythm has four variations per style and Band-in-a-Box styles only allow two, I have combined the four i3 variations in up to the following three combinations:
This is exactly what Korg does to get many different arrangements (styles) out of their individual substyle variations. There is a tiny bit of redundancy in this set up, but I have compensated for this by packing a 3½" double sided disk as full as I can. Also, in order to fit more styles on the disks, I used a short, 12 bar blues progression for the demo song for most of these styles.
It is important to note that these user styles are not identical copies to their i3 counterparts. (Since the Band-in-a-Box program and the i3 have different `brains', timing resolutions and different instrument sets, this is impossible.) As I mentioned before, they have been made even better, by taking advantage of Band-in-a-Box's variety and musical enhancement features.

Note: The audio MP3 files were recorded using Band-in-a-Box and the Edirol VSC3 Virtual Sound Canvas synthesizer. They were encoded at a low bit-rate and in mono so they will download fast, even for those with a dial-up connection. The low bit-rate results in low fidelity, but you will still be able to hear all the parts, and you won't have to wait long for the music to start. In most cases the demo plays only a few bars of the A section, a few bars of the B section, and the ending. In other words, what you hear is only a fraction of what you get.
These Bossas are contemporary Bossa Novas and can be used for a variety of Latin jazz tunes.
Set #2 contains:
Big band swing, for Ellington, Sinatra, Kenton, and others. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, The Duke, Ol Blue Eyes, Cookin', etc.
Set #3 contains:
For classic show tunes, some standards, and Tin Pan Alley tunes. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, Avalon, etc.
Set #4 contains
For classic Dixieland, New Orleans, and early Satchmo tunes. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, Bourbon St., etc.
Set #5 contains:
Three, hip, fusion BIAB user styles. These are contemporary, up-tempo, Samba-ish, jazz-ish, rock-ish, fusion. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, StretchOut, etc.
Set #6 contains:
More jazz with a hip-hop beat, than roots R&B (I've heard it called acid jazz). You can't listen to a contemporary jazz radio station for very long without hearing tunes with this beat. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, Jammin'Sax, Groovin, etc.
Set #7 contains:
Cool school for slow standards, cool jazz, and jazz ballads like contemporary Shirley Horn, or classic pre bop Miles and Trane tunes. These 3, inter-related styles produce arrangements called, After Hours, etc.
