Have you ever wished you could fit more than 4 chords in a bar of Band-in-a-Box music?
Or have you ever wished you could put one chord on both a beat and the eighth note before that same beat in Band-in-a-Box?
Well now you can!!!!

That is exactly why I invented EXPANDED styles for Band-in-a-Box back in the early 1990s. I was frustrated by the limitations of Band-in-a-Box and by inventing EXPANDED styles, I could overcome those limits. With EXPANDED styles, you can fit up to 8 chords in a single 4/4 bar of Band-in-a-Box music and you can put a chord both on the beat, and the upbeat before that very same beat.

I have received rave reviews on my EXPANDED styles and I always get requests for more. So to answer those requests, I wrote a disk full of nothing but EXPANDED styles for Band-in-a-Box, and here it is!

You can do things with these styles that are impossible to do with standard Band-in-a-Box styles. So you need these styles in your Band-in-a-Box folder.

The best way to describe what is on this disk is to list the styles and post the demo songs. So here we go: Note: The audio MP3 files were recorded using Band-in-a-Box and the Edirol VSC3 Virtual Sound Canvas synthesizer with CDex "ripping" software. They were encoded at a low bit-rate in mono so although the audio fidelity will be low, you will be able to hear all the parts. The low bit-rate results in a small file size for quick downloading and playing, even for those on a dial-up connection.

Suggested musical applications for each style are written in RED:
• 6/8 Blues 2 EXPANDED (#68blu2e.sty): This EXPANDED 6/8 generic blues style lets you put 6 chords per bar or a chord on the upbeat and the following beat! This style features Fingered E.Bass, Bright Piano, Drums, Clean E.Guitar and "B3" Organ. I've had many requests for 6/8 styles and this one and the following EXPANDED 6/8 style will allow you to enter those 6/8 and 12/8 (twice EXPANDED) chord structures impossible with "stock" BiaB styles

• 6/8 Rock 1 EXPANDED (#68rok1e.sty): This EXPANDED 6/8 basic and versatile Rock/CW/R&B shuffle lets you put 6 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat! This shuffle uses Fingered E.Bass, Draw Bar Organ, Drums, Muted E.Guitar and Clean E.Guitar and will work for hundreds of Rock, C&W, R&B and pop shuffles.

• Afro Pop 2 EXPANDED (#afpop2e.sty): This style was inspired both by the Pop group "War" and a few things I heard on a radio show called "Afro Pop World", features Fingered E.Bass, Marimba, Drums/Percussion, Muted E.Guitar and Kalimba and is EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Ballad 5 EXPANDED (#balld5e.sty): Filling hundreds for "More Ballads" and "Expanded Ballads" this nice "Pink Floyd-ish" ballad style with Fretless E.Bass, Rhodes E.Piano, Drums, Acoustic Guitar and Strings should delight you. Plus it is EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Bluegrass (#blugrs1.sty): I've received many requests for a Bluegrass style, and quite a lot of requests for more EXPANDED country styles so I wrote this one with Acoustic Bass, Fingerpicked Banjo, Drums, Acoustic Guitar and Muted Guitar and it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Bomba 1 (#bomba_1.sty): The A part of this style is a traditional Bomba while the B section is a modern Bomba with Acoustic Bass, Acoustic Piano, Drums/Percussion, Acoustic Guitar and Trombones. It's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Bossa Nova 7 (#bossa~7): Can you have too many Bossas? Apparently the people who request styles don't think so because I get many requests for more. Here's a gentle, contemporary Bossa with brushed Drums/Percussion, Acoustic Bass, Acoustic Piano, Nylon Str.Guitar and Steel Str.Guitar that is EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Club Dance (#clubdnc.sty): This style fills multiple requests I've had for a 21st Century Dance Style. Featuring stereo effects (not apparent in the mono mp3 demo), Synth Bass, "B3" Organ, Room Drum Kit, Bass&Lead Synth, and Sweep Pad plus it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Country 8 Beat 1 EXPANDED (#cw8bt1e.sty): A nice, easygoing C&W beat with Fingered E.Bass, Nylon Str.Guitar, Drums, Steel Str.Guitar and Jazz E.Guitar plus it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Eagles 1 EXPANDED (#eagls1e.sty): There has been a resurgence of requests for styles made famous by the classic sounds of the Eagles, so I wrote this one for you with Fretless E.Bass, Bright Piano, Drums, plus Acoustic and Electric guitars. And it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Fusion 1 EXPANDED (#fusn_1e.sty): A smooth jazz/fusion style similar to the classic group Weather Report and updated for the 21st century. This one features Syn Bass, Rhodes E.Piano, Jazz Drums, Nylon Str.Guitar and Poly Synth and it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Hard Rock 4 EXPANDED (#h_rock4e.sty): A straight-eight hard rock style with some syncopation suitable for many hard rock tunes featuring Fingered E.Bass, Bright Piano, "Room" Drums, Distorted E.Guitar and Muted E.Guitar. It's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Jazz Cha-Cha 3 (#jazcha3.sty): Another big request is for more Jazz Cha-Cha styles - they cross the line from Jazz to Rock to Pop to Latin and other genres of music. This one features Acoustic Bass, Acoustic Piano, Jazz Drums, Muted E.Guitar and Brass Section and it's EXPANDED so you can put up to 8 chords per bar or a chord both on the upbeat and the following beat!

• Medium Rock 1 (#medrok1.sty): People have been asking for moderate to moderately mellow rock styles for a while now.
