REQUESTS

Requests, we get a lot of requests and we love them

Special orders don't upset us. At least 90% of the songs we learn were requested by you, the audience. Thank you for your good taste in music.

Don't be shy about requesting a song. If we know it, we'll be happy to play it at the first appropriate time. If we don't know it we'll put it in our list of songs to learn.

We save all requests and the songs that get requested most often go to the top of the list for learning. We learn new songs all the time. For the songs we already know and will be happy to play, see our complete songlist

Leilani and I are very versatile, but we can't learn everything. Everyone has limitations, and some songs either need more than two voices or are done with studio tricks that can't be duplicated live. In these cases, if a song is requested enough, we'll buy a copy and DJ it for you.

The three best ways to make a request:

  1. Write it down on something and bring it to us, a cocktail napkin, a scrap of paper, or whatever. If you write down the request and we don't know it, we won't forget to add it in our list of songs to learn.

  2. You can come up to the stage between songs and make a request. But if we don't know it, write it down so we don't forget. Please don't make a request while we are singing/playing a song. We are concentrating on the song, putting our heart and soul into it, doing the best job we can. If you say something during the song we may not understand what you are saying.

  3. E-mail us. Click the "Contact Us" link on the left hand menu bar and e-mail the song you want us to learn. Try to give the proper title and the artist, and if you can supply a YouTube link that will be even better. We want to know what you want to learn, and sometimes different songs share the same title.

We started saving requests and putting them on a list back when we were on the cruise ships. We've always used the list to learn new songs and the songs that get requested most often go to the top of the list. We want to know what you want to hear. It's our pleasure to play the music you like. So don't be coy. Tell us what you want to enjoy.
