The most constant comment I have gotten from the owners of Jim Wedd's first six Chord Substitution Song Set Disk is, "When is Jim going to do another disk?" The chord substitutions are so good, that people just can't get enough of them.

Jim Wedd has a special talent for substitution chords. Many professional singers prefer his chords to both the original chords of the song and other chord substitutions found in fake books. Here is an example:

I sang with Harry James, Jerry Gray, Sy Zentner, Les Brown, Stan Kenton and Charlie Barnet. I was lucky enough to work with some of the best West Coast musicians: Shelly Mann, Mel Lewis, Jimmy Rowles (my personal favorite), Claude Williamson, Lou Levy, Max Bennet, Joe Mondragon, Shorty Rogers, Bud Shank and Dick and Ted Nash, to name a few. Some great arrangers wrote charts for me: Nelson Riddle, Bill Holman, Billy May, Pete Rugalo, and Bob Florence.

When I first worked with Jim Wedd I was immediately impressed with his chord changes. They are among the best I have ever heard.

I'm always delighted playing or singing along with Jim's changes and know you will enjoy them also.

I also suggested a style for each song from all the styles that were available for Band-in-a-Box when I compiled this disk. It is not necessary to have the book or my styles to enjoy this disk, but your fun will definitely be enhanced if you do.
