Nothing daunted, he mated his lyrics to a melody by composer Ray Hubbell and, in his words, "two months later the entire country was Butterfly-mad." "Poor Butterfly" was recorded by, among others, Jerry Vale, Frank Sinatra, The Hilltoppers, Sarah Vaughan, Jimmy Rowles, and in a remarkable jazz performance in the album, "The Oscar Peterson Big 6 at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1975" featuring Oscar with Milt Jackson, Joe Pass, Toots Thielemans, Louis Bellson, and Niels Pederson.ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ×ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿïï °Áñ
